Conclusion
Nutshell offers CRM with an attractive interface and easy-to-use tools. It is reasonably priced and designed for small businesses and sole proprietors looking to automate their sales processes without skimping on features, but it doesn’t offer businesses a lot of room to grow. I found it strange that there is no simple link to create a new record for people or leads. I had to first type the name into the filter (not the universal search). When I did this, the link to create the new record appeared because no records were found. The lead automatically generates a task by default, but you can create other tasks and activities. You can also automate some of your workflow under Setup, such as specifying that a lead for a certain product will always be assigned to a specific user (a Lead Distribution task), or creating several tasks that should be assigned whenever a lead is created (Sales Process). It’s easy to create rules once you have the processes in place, but it does require some digging in the Setup screen to find the right place to perform these steps.
